Psychology and Religion-(Anonymous)
Does psychology and religion mix? Not in terms of pastoral counselling.Im talking generally

I dont see why they shouldn't. Maybe some people would wake up and realize that there is actually another side of things. But i guess for some psychology would challenge some of the things that religion holds firm to. For e.g look at freud's theory which highlights the death instict.... religon states we should never kill ourselves while freud says that is how we are made up and the only reason we dont do it is because we transfer these feelings in aggressive tendancies to others. i also think a little more open mindedness is necessary in the regard of psych and religon as well.
